
Ian advises and represents public education clients on bond forfeitures, special education, contracts, and other transactional matters. His work includes matters for the North Carolina School for the Deaf and the Governor Morehead School for the Blind, whose specialized programs present distinct legal and operational questions. Before practicing law, Ian spent five years teaching in Memphis classrooms. At WVU Law, he was an associate editor of the West Virginia Law Review, Vice Chief Justice of the Moot Court Board, and a participant in the United States Supreme Court Clinic. Ian joined Campbell Shatley in 2024.
