Walter L. Currie, Of Counsel

During his forty-three years in legal practice, Walt has represented numerous clients including the Redevelopment Commission of the City of Asheville, the Housing Authority of the City of Asheville, the Metropolitan Sewerage District for Asheville and Buncombe County, Champion International Corporation, The Biltmore Company and multiple public school districts.

Walt is currently a member of the Town Council for the Town of Weaverville, a member of the Land of Sky Regional Council of Governments Board, member of the North Carolina Association of Municipal Attorneys and a member of the Planning and Services Legislative Action Committee for the North Carolina League of Municipalities. Walt is a recipient of the Distinguished Service Award from the North Carolina Bar Association, Education Law Section.

Walt enjoys spending time with his family and working on his family farm in Georgia.
